Tickets for two Nine Inch Nails gigs in March went on sale to the public today, except they’d already sold out in the presale last Monday .. .
Amusing comment in The Times today from Joe Joseph, their TV Critic, about the breaking of taboos on television:
When, in a couple of years’ time we hear Huw Edwards introducing the Ten O’Clock News with the remark ‘It’s been a fucking awful day in the world, all told,’ we won’t bat an eyelid.
Bought Metal Hammer today for the first time in ages and remembered why I stopped buying it. Aside from the odd good interview there’s nothing of any interest or substance. There was a great letter sent in by a reader after the death of Dimebag Darrell though, it almost beat a letter my sister showed me from a seventeen-year-old girl ‘devastated’ about the break up of Steps:
When I saw [the shooting] all over the news and webpages, I broke down. I just burst into tears. … Now that he’s gone I don’t know what to do. No-one even comes close to Dime. I’m lost without him. … Part of me has died. I have lost the most important person in my life.
And now hopefully its writer can grow up.
