An Interlude

I decided I need some music by bands I may have heard of but not heard music by. So I asked around and ended up getting -

Anaal Nathrakh’s Codex Necro;
Godspeed You! Black Emperor’s Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven;
Mia Doi Todd’s Manzanita;
BT’s Escm;
Stan Tracey’s Under Milk Wood;
808 State’s Ex.El.

Stan Tracey is one of the greatest Jazz pianists Britain has produced so I thought he deserved a listen, Anaal Nathrakh do some mighty-fine extreme metal, I looked into 808 State purely because of the song Pacific State I have on my computer (no idea how it got there) with the most wonderful sax solo through it – wouldn’t normally touch dance ‘music’ with a long pole especially for touching such things but I thought this time I might risk it .. Anyway Godspeed You! Black Emperor was widely recommended to me and a friend sent me a song by Mia Doi Todd, it was enough to make me want to buy her album.

Oh and I found Nine Inch Nails’ The Fragile on Ebay for £6.

Hooray for music
