Hundred Reasons played King Tuts last night, a reasonable start to a new year of gigs I suppose. Good, not amazing, they were exactly as you’d expect and stayed extremely close to the recorded versions of their songs, though it’s not as if the crowd was expecting anything more. Still, after the acclaim of Ideas Above Our Station surely they’d hope to be playing the bigger venues now. Support came from the amazingly ugly (collectively) God Fires Man and some Welsh emoesque quintet who aren’t particularly worth remembering.
The bass made me warm inside.
